Rotary Surface Grinding
Blanchard Grinding (Rotary Surface Grinding to be precise) quickly removes material from one or both sides of the object being ground. Blanchard Grinding is used for a part that is too large to be double-disc ground, since parts as large as 42" high and 100" from corner to opposite corner can be machined. This rotary surface grinding can produce dimensional tolerances to + or - .001" parallelism to .001", and flatness to .005" or better depending on material and size are achievable on all are Blanchard Grinders. Utilizing considerably greater horsepower than other grinding methods, Blanchard Grinding removes large amounts of stock quickly and efficiently.
